We needed to get to El Salvador with our dogs; flying was too expensive. "Should we drive?" I asked. "That would be crazy," Cory said. We did, and it was.
We drove from Texas to El Salvador with our 3 dogs towing an open-air trailer with 2 motorcycles and some things for our house. It was an incredible, amazing, and at times, insane experience that took 9 days instead of the 6 we anticipated, but one I would absolutely do again.
From border issues to identity theft to, yes, a little extortion, to fascinating street festivals and pyramids and mountains and hot air balloons... topped off by the sheer kindness of the vast majority of the people we encountered.
Join me for the behind-the-scenes details of our journey. See you inside!

During an awkward encounter at a concert during COVID restrictions, the band playing struck up a song called "Learning How to Die" which created a pivotal moment of learning and a shift in mindset that brought a fresh new perspective to life.
Join me as we explore the hidden gift of empowerment that lies within accepting the inevitable, where Goodbye July got its name, and why it's critical to make sure you're spending the time you've got doing what you love... and NOT wasting time on what you don't.

End the stigma! It's one of the most critical pieces of our well-being: Let's talk mental health.
Today, we're digging into my journey through counseling (that literally ended at the altar), my current mental wellness routine, and the issue that's negatively affecting nearly 50% of Americans' mental health... and what you can do to protect yourself.

3 of my biggest financial flops have had to do with a late-night accident in south Texas, an insanely-priced vacuum (yes, really), and partying like a rock star in college.
But each of those mistakes taught me a valuable lesson... and today we're talking about how one of those experiences led me to my all-time favorite financial tool.
More importantly, we'll discuss how using a budget (or, as I like to think of it, a financial dashboard) can change everything for you if you'll let it.
Join me to learn:
The budget template I swear by
10 reasons to fall in love with it
Why I'm convinced an old-school budget leads to more financial success than an app on your phone ever could
Let's go!

Chances are you're already acquainted with the bully that lives inside your mind... that infuriating, taunting voice in your head telling you you're not good enough, you can't do it, and you're not smart enough...
You know the one: I'm talking about imposter syndrome.
Well, my friend, you're not alone. And I want us to talk about it more so we can work toward squashing the darn thing once and for all.
The more we share our experiences and best practices, the more mental fortitude we'll feel in dealing with this monster.
And the easier it becomes for us to ignore this uninvited guest, the quicker we can get on with living our happiest lives and reaching our biggest goals.
Today we're tackling:
- Imposter syndrome at work
- 4 strategies I've used to stop it
- 1 BONUS strategy that you can implement today
And I'll share a little-known story about one of the *most embarrassing* moments of my life.
Join me inside!

Do you want investing and passive income to be part of your financial strategy? If so, you'll need money left over each month to put toward your investments. Where's that money going to come from?
While I'm all for cutting costs, you can only lower your expenses so much. But your income potential is essentially UNCAPPED so there's a lot more room to make more money when compared to decreasing your spending... So, let's make you more money!
Today, we're deep-diving into a key piece of the strategy I use to get big raises: employer benefits. And if your job doesn't offer benefits, I'll also cover how you can use this fact to negotiate a higher pay rate. We'll talk through:- How you can use your benefits package (or lack thereof) to increase your pay- The specific benefits I focused on the last time I landed a big raise- How I secured a raise that was 4 times higher than the national average
This episode is not for the faint of heart; this exercise is high-effort. But it can absolutely be high reward.
If you're serious about getting a pay increase, this episode is for you. Let's jump in!

Want to impress your boss? In this episode, I share 5 simple but powerful things you can do at work to position yourself for success, specific examples of what's worked in my career, and the story of the time I told a potential employer that I was unqualified… and why he hired me anyway.
(spoiler alert: it's because of 1 of the 5 habits!)
The truth is: you can’t just waltz into a review meeting, ask for a raise, and assume it’s going to be given to you - it takes some intentional work in the months leading up to your ask; and that’s what we’re digging into today.
Let's dive in!
