Cory and I spent my birthday reviewing old photos from when we first started dating. It made me feel hopeful for the girl I was in those photos and excited for the future that lay ahead.
It also provided an opportunity to reflect on this past year specifically… and it’s been a wild one.
From selling our first home to buying a house in El Salvador to prepping another house for rental to driving to El Salvador with our three dogs and a trailer to countless issues-turned-adventures upon arrival, emotional growth, discomfort, transformation, salsa dancing, sunsets, and motorcycle rides, this year has been FULL of experience and growth.
So, today, I’d like to share with you my top 3 lessons from my 33rd year and moving abroad to El Salvador - lessons about humanity, health, and adaptability that can serve both you and I well to remember in all aspects of life.
I'll see you inside!

I invite you to meet my client-turned-friend as we explore the emotional journey and mindset strategies she used to overcome obstacles and learn the key question she asks herself to find clarity when things get hard.
You don't want to miss this one... Alyssa's story is sure to inspire you to dig deep to find the courage to take big risks.

I’m just getting over a 2-month hibernation that came on as the result of burnout. For the last 2 months, the thought of work or being on my phone/computer in any way made me cringe. I couldn’t bring myself to do it, although, for the months leading up to this, work is ALL I wanted to do.
And therein lies the problem. In the months leading up to my burnout, I was overdoing it. I used the excuse that I was “in flow” and wanted to take advantage of that and, in truth, I was in flow, but I also knew I was doing too much.
But I lied to myself and others saying I wanted to commit to doing the work now since I was enjoying it so much.
As I ease back into my business and strive to ensure my relationship with work strikes a healthy balance with other areas of my life that are important - my physical and mental health, marriage, and other hobbies - I’d like to discuss burnout, why I believe it’s such a pervasive issue, and what we can do to avoid it so we can live more balanced, full, and rich lives.
See you inside!

The daily habit of taking the time to check in with yourself and ask these key questions is SO SIMPLE yet SO POWERFUL, but many of us aren't making the time to pause to prioritize investing some time in our needs and well-being (even for just 5 minutes).
Over and over again, we prioritize the needs of others (our employers, managers, co-workers, etc.) and we're left with little to no time to give to ourselves.
The simple habit of checking in with myself every day was the start of the beautiful snowball effect that led me to leave my 9-to-5 and pursue a more fulfilling and purpose-based life.
What could it do for you?
Join me inside to find out!

You asked, I answered. For the first time, I'm sharing my perspective on Bitcoin: what it is, what it isn't, why I'm a believer, and why you should care (hint: if you're a member of the US banking system - or any other centralized banking system - you should care).
If you've been curious about this special cryptocurrency, join me as I explain Bitcoin in normal everyday language for the average non-tech-savvy person (like me!).
Bitcoin's taking the global economy by storm. Don't get left behind!

"Inflation" isn't just a fancy finance term for people on Wall Street... it's one of the main reasons it feels harder and harder for you to save money, retirement age is going up, and your grandparents say "back in my day, a gallon of gas only cost 25 cents!"
Whether you want to admit it or not, inflation negatively affects both you and me every single day and it's time we acknowledge it, understand it (in plain English), and proactively engage in the 2 things we can do to fight back.
Don't bury your head in the sand... make a plan! You won't be sorry you did (and I can all but guarantee you'll be sorry if you don't).
See you inside!

Here's the truth: if you can keep your expenses low while consistently getting pay raises, you'll be left with extra money to invest, able to build passive income streams, and ultimately create more freedom in your life (think: working from anywhere, or better yet, NOT working)
If you've been dreaming of saying goodbye to that 9-5 or that hourly job or simply seeking some extra income so you can breathe a little easier, use this calendar to make your plan!
Learn the process I refined in the later years of my career that earned me consistent pay increases, the biggest of which was 4x the national average.

One of the most dangerous aspects of today's culture is the "everything is awesome" online personas we use when we're posting on social media.
Sure, it's great to show the things that are going well, the things we're proud of, the things that make us happy - but if we don't talk about the difficult things, the struggles, and what happens off-screen, we're contributing to what's becoming a huge and pervasive issue of crippling loneliness in a world that's more digitally connected than ever.
Recording today's episode was tough, but it's important that I show up authentically and share both the good, as well as the difficult - and that's exactly what you'll find inside this episode.
From a currently-maxed-out credit card, to financial stressors, to marriage tension as a result of our international move, I share it all inside today's episode of The Goodbye July Podcast.
Let's jump in.
